STATION NAME: Fresno

LOCAL CHARACTER: Located on the north campus of CSU Fresno. This is a large island of agricultural activity in the north area of Fresno. This portion of the campus is used for livestock maintenance in small paddock or large pasture settings.

DESCRIPTION OF STATION SITE:
The station is placed in a flood irrigated pasture area that is used for grazing. It is protected by a large critter corral type enclosure. Within the enclosure there are additional instruments and evaporation pan that comprise an agroclimatic site operated by the Department of Water Resources office in Fresno.

COMMENTS:
The the grass can vary in height during the growing season. It has been noted that, at times the instrumentation appear to accumulate a layer of dust, possibly from the unpaved access roads and nearby farming activities. It is serviced frequently.
